The NEWcaps Business and Entrepreneurship Pathway is designed for students who are interested in exploring how businesses are created, managed, and grown in today’s economy. This pathway provides students with opportunities to explore both business and entrepreneurship, combining foundational business knowledge with innovative, real-world experiences that emphasize creativity, leadership, and problem solving.
Students in the NEWcaps Business and Entrepreneurship Pathway engage in project-based learning that reflects real business environments. Coursework and experiences focus on areas such as business fundamentals, marketing, finance, management, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Students learn how ideas move from concept to execution, how businesses respond to market needs, and how entrepreneurs identify opportunities and develop solutions.
This pathway emphasizes collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and professional skills while allowing students to explore multiple aspects of business operations and entrepreneurial ventures. Students may work on team projects, develop business plans, analyze case studies, and engage with community and industry partners to better understand real-world business challenges.
Participation in the NEWcaps Business and Entrepreneurship Pathway requires students to apply and meet all enrollment requirements for the program. Due to the collaborative and immersive nature of NEWcaps, students are expected to commit fully to program expectations, including attendance, participation, and completion of required coursework and projects.
