Dual Credit Spanish 101 is an introductory course designed to develop basic proficiency in the Spanish language. Students will build foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through the study of essential vocabulary, grammar structures, and everyday expressions. Emphasis is placed on practical communication in common social situations, including greetings, daily activities, and cultural interactions. The course also introduces students to the cultures, traditions, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking countries, helping students develop cultural awareness alongside language skills. This course serves as the first course in the college Spanish sequence and prepares students for continued study in Spanish at the collegiate level.
Students choosing to take the course for college credit must apply to Crowder College and enroll in the course through both Crowder College and the high school. Students are financially responsible for any course fees incurred for taking the course for college credit.
