Education Work Based Learning provides students with authentic, hands-on experience in educational settings through a structured work-based learning model. Designed for students participating in the Cadet Teaching Program, the course allows students to apply instructional and classroom management concepts in real-world learning environments under the guidance of licensed educators.
Students gain experience assisting teachers with classroom activities, supporting student learning, observing instructional strategies, and engaging in professional responsibilities associated with the teaching profession. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, communication, ethical behavior, and reflective practice.
Throughout the course, students develop employability skills such as collaboration, time management, adaptability, and leadership while exploring careers in education. Education Work Based Learning supports students interested in becoming educators by providing meaningful classroom experience and preparing them for postsecondary study in education or related fields.
Students must be part of the Neosho Student Cadet Program.
