CTEC GPA Policy
CTEC Dual Credit GPA Policy
Students enrolled in CTEC courses offered in partnership with Crowder College may have the option to earn dual credit. The following policy outlines how high school credit and GPA weighting will be awarded based on the student’s enrollment choice.
Credit and GPA Weighting
- Students who opt for dual credit through Crowder College will receive:
- 0.5 high school credit per semester for the dual credit course with boosted (weighted) GPA points, and
- 1.0 high school credit for the CTEC course at a regular (unweighted) GPA
- Students who do not opt for dual credit will receive:
- 1.5 high school credits per semester for the course
- No boosted (weighted) GPA points
Grade Reporting
CTEC dual credit courses are considered full-year courses through Crowder College. As a result:
- The final 1st semester grade reported by Crowder College for the student’s CTEC course will be used as the grade for the first semester dual credit course on the high school transcript.
Additional Notes
- Students and families are responsible for understanding the financial obligations associated with dual credit enrollment.
- Credit and GPA weighting will be applied according to the student’s selected enrollment status for the course.
- This policy ensures alignment between Crowder College's grading practices and high school transcript reporting.
